Having more choices available will help motivate students to read more often and strengthen their comprehension and vocabulary skills.\r\n\r\nYour kindness and belief in education truly mean so much to our classroom community. Because of you, my students now have access to flexible seating options and engaging learning games that have already made a meaningful impact on how they learn, collaborate, and grow.\r\n\r\nWe are using the new resources frequently during small-group instruction, independent work, and partner work. One especially meaningful moment happened during a social studies activity when a group of students chose flexible seating while working on a type of economies scenarios together. Students who previously struggled to stay focused were fully engaged—discussing evidence, persisting through challenges, and having productive conversations . The games have helped turn reading skill practice into purposeful play and has allowed for collaborative discussions of the skill. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate and genuine. There were smiles and lots of \"Can we use these today?\" Many students were eager to try the different seating options. My intervention students love to explore the games as it's a deviation from our regular lessons. \r\n\r\nThanks to your support, our next steps involve using these tools to deepen learning during upcoming lessons. Students will continue applying the learning games to reinforce skills, collaborate during group challenges, and build confidence as problem solvers. The flexible seating will remain an essential part of our classroom routine, helping students develop self-awareness, independence, and responsibility for their learning environment.\r\n\r\nYour contribution truly opened the door to a more inclusive, engaging, and student-centered classroom. Thank you for giving my students the opportunity to learn in ways that work best for them and for taking a peek into our classroom journey.","fullyFundedDate":1760473883605,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-learning-opportunitie/9826035/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating / Learning Opportunities","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Coffelt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9279178_orig.jpg?crop=334,334,x0,y10&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1694737856064","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9279178"},{"teacherId":2815134,"projectId":9826854,"letterContent":"On behalf of my students, thank you for your generous support through DonorsChoose. With your commitment to education in our amazing state of Delaware, our students now have access to resources that directly support learning, engagement, and student needs.\r\n\r\nThe donated materials—including desk dividers for students, carpet circle seats, classroom chair bands for students with fidgety feet, calm sensory stickers for anxiety, microphones for voice recording and speech-to-text support, and a wide variety of books such as the Goosebumps Classic Series, The My Teacher Is an Alien Collection, Sports Illustrated Kids: Soccer GOATs, graphic novels, and more—have already made a meaningful difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThese resources help create a learning environment that is inclusive, supportive, and engaging. The microphone and speech-to-text tools provide critical access for students with educational needs, allowing them to express their ideas with confidence. Flexible seating, desk dividers, and sensory supports help students regulate their focus and emotions, leading to increased independence and on-task behavior (especially during testing sessions). \r\n\r\nMany students who previously struggled to find books that interested them are now choosing to read.
