I am definitely a \"highlighter-and-notes-in-the-margins\" kind of book person. Most of my studying happens late in the evening or early in the morning at my kitchen table, surrounded by sticky notes, color-coded tabs, and reflection journals. These materials have allowed me to slow down, reflect deeply on my practice, and truly engage with the standards and expectations of accomplished teaching rather than just skimming for information.\r\n\r\nThe texts you provided have strengthened my understanding of reflective practice, student-centered instruction, and the importance of using evidence to drive instructional decisions. They emphasize equity, intentional planning, and continuous growth skills that directly impact how I design lessons, assess student understanding, and respond to individual needs in my classroom. I've been especially focused on improving how I analyze student work and adjust instruction in real time.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite classroom moments this year came when students noticed how much more feedback and choice they were receiving in lessons. During a recent activity, a student said, \"You really want us to explain our thinking now, not just get the right answer.\" That moment perfectly captured the impact of this project. Because of your generosity, I am becoming a more reflective, intentional educator and my students are benefiting every single day. Thank you for investing in my growth and in the success of my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1766621025256,"projectUrl":"project/building-better-teaching-nbct-study-boo/9904360/","projectTitle":"Building Better Teaching: NBCT Study Books for 7th Grade Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Sullivan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8920257_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y200&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1673365330133","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8920257"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_67376","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1298,"numTeachers":85,"percentFrplEligible":71,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":85,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"15.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":58.7,"schoolId":67376,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Summit View Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Summit View Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kentucky/kenton-county-school-district/summit-view-elementary-school/67376"}
