Whether it be social/emotional or Math or reading skills the materials that were sent are being used to teach the skills that are needed for our preschool curriculum called Teaching Strategies the games helped out alot and the kids have fun in the centers with them. Alot of the games hit the targets for kindergarten readiness. They were excited when the materials came and could not wait to open the boxes. Normally when they get learning supplies I let them open them as a group and we talk about how we are going to use them and keep them clean and keep them in tact. They are really loving everything they have received. Creative expression supports children's emotional wellbeing and reduces anxiety. It's how children represent themselves, their thoughts and feelings as they develop their ideas. its a way for children to communicate their thoughts, ideas, feelings and learning using creative materials. Although this communication method is less direct than using language, it offers many insights into how children are thinking before they have the language to express themselves. The supplies that were donated to my classroom helped my children alot. They were going through some rough times with families and other things and this was how some of them expressed themselves. The children really appreciated the protection that \r\nthey had in the classroom as well as the teachers. \r\n\r\nWe really appreciated the help. Kids use the resources to see their improvement in their attitude and they have something to work towards. They know that if they are following the classroom rules they can earn lots of rewards.
