The kids and I love it so much!! Our new classroom rug has been so important because it creates a welcoming, shared space where students can come together to learn and connect. It supports whole-group instruction, class meetings, read-alouds, and discussions by giving students a comfortable place to sit, focus, and feel included. Our new rug has also helped with classroom organization and routines by showing students where to gather and helping transitions run smoothly. It has helped build a great classroom community. While sitting on the rug, students feel safe, valued, and ready to learn in a cozy space that belongs to everyone. We are truly grateful for a classroom environment that inspires learning every day.","fullyFundedDate":1763474303132,"projectUrl":"project/the-thinking-spot/9770201/","projectTitle":"The Thinking Spot","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Borgerson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10292471"},{"teacherId":9018104,"projectId":9617266,"letterContent":"Over the past decade or so, coding has become an essential piece of computer education and can lead to successful career paths for students in the future. This project may seem like just a fun toy for TK students. But it's their first step in learning to create codes. Students program the bees to go where they want them to using a series of pressing buttons with directional arrows. I created mats with numbers, shapes and colors to give students destinations to program the bees toward. These learning devices are a part of our everyday learning as part of our free choice activity time. And mini lessons are given weekly to demonstrate new ways to use this tool as students strengthen their skills. This lens has impacted my ability to capture and share student life and events. The lens's wide aperture allows us to produce stunning images with beautifully blurred backgrounds, effectively highlighting students during performances, sports events, and yearbook photos. We can now capture those perfect moments – a student's laugh, a performer on stage – with exceptional clarity and focus, bringing these memories to life.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, we are creating beautiful, memorable photos that shine on social media, in yearbooks, and in student portfolios. Many mothers were happy with the portrait of their child in the handmade frame given as a gift for Mother's Day. The lens arrived in time for an assembly from Wild Things. The photos captured, were just the motivation students needed to write about what they learned at the assembly. Your generosity has made a significant difference in capturing and sharing the vibrant moments of our school community.","fullyFundedDate":1746453676274,"projectUrl":"project/capture-a-memory/9049939/","projectTitle":"Capture a Memory","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Tietz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5522516_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1531347847638","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5522516"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_106948","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":470,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":53,"percentAsian":11,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":58,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":80.5,"schoolId":106948,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Stream Charter School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Stream Charter School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/oroville-city-elementary-school-district/stream-charter-school/106948"}
