They eagerly shared their rollercoasters with classmates, explaining how they solved problems along the way. For many, this was the moment when all of their planning, persistence, and creativity came together, and they felt a true sense of pride in what they had accomplished.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, students will use their rollercoasters to explore scientific and mathematical concepts such as potential and kinetic energy, making deeper connections to science and math. My students learned about food insecurity through hydroponics! They were amazed by how much we could do with hydroponics systems, and we even discussed how they could create their own mini hydroponics systems at home. \r\n\r\nWe then expanded our learning to all forms of gardening, incorporating a greenhouse! Our goal is to create a community garden and to educate the community about the importance of healthy living. They've used these drones both to solve real-world problems and to develop their piloting skills.\r\n\r\nWhile I primarily use the drones with our drone team, all of my students have access to them as part of our lessons on the solar system and natural disasters. It's been an incredible tool across the curriculum.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part of this project? Flying the drones! The students absolutely love it.
