Working in a Title 1 school, our students come with a range of academic, social, and emotional needs. Sometimes, these academic needs require additional resources and tools that goes beyond the curriculum to help them be successful in the classroom.\r\n\r\nLearning is done best when it is hands-on. The first graders were learning about the sun, moon, and stars. They did a virtual field trip with NASA. The astronaut freeze dried ice cream was a fun way to experience being an astronaut for a day. The caterpillars was a fun way to help second graders learn about pollinators while watching and caring for them as they grew. \r\n\r\nMath can generally be difficult subject to make concrete and understand. These games helped my intervention group practice math skills in a fun and engaging way.
