It has truly transformed our learning environment in the most positive and meaningful way.\r\n\r\nThe rug has become a central space where students feel comfortable, calm, and eager to learn. It offers a cozy area for quiet reading, a flexible space for working with partners, and a welcoming spot for group work and collaboration. It has quickly become a favorite place for many of our students, and it naturally encourages both independent and shared learning.\r\n\r\nBeyond its function, the rug adds a warm and inviting touch to our classroom. It creates an atmosphere where every student feels at home, and where learning becomes something they want to do—not just something they have to do. The sense of ownership and pride our students feel about their classroom has noticeably grown since the rug was introduced.\r\n\r\nWe've also received numerous compliments from both staff and students across the school, all noting the positive impact and thoughtful design. It truly enhances not only our classroom layout, but also our classroom culture.\r\n\r\nThank you again for this incredible addition. We are so grateful, and we look forward to many more joyful learning moments with our new rug.","fullyFundedDate":1756908450477,"projectUrl":"project/a-spot-for-every-star/9665660/","projectTitle":"A Spot for Every Star!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Aquino","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8498917"},{"teacherId":637773,"projectId":9125792,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous donation, my students now have access to a wonderful collection of high-interest nonfiction books that have transformed our book clubs. These books, chosen based on topics that students voted on allowed them to take ownership of their learning while diving into subjects they were curious about. Through these texts, we worked on critical reading skills such as identifying main ideas, analyzing text features, summarizing, and making connections between what we read and the real world. Having books that matched their interests motivated students to dig deeper and actively participate in discussions.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading now looks vibrant and collaborative. Students gather in small groups, each with a shared text in hand, and engage in meaningful conversations about what they're learning. The excitement is contagious and students are not only reading but also questioning, debating, and teaching one another. I've seen students who were previously hesitant to speak up now eagerly share facts and opinions because the topics truly engage them. One student who rarely raised his hand before was so fascinated by his book his group chose that he became the leader of the discussion, teaching his peers new facts he researched outside of class.\r\n\r\nYour generosity didn't just put books in our hands, it gave my students the opportunity to see themselves as readers, thinkers, and leaders. They are not only building reading skills but also developing confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom. We are so grateful for the gift of these books and the opportunities they've created.","fullyFundedDate":1746536784905,"projectUrl":"project/exploring-the-world-through-non-fiction/9125792/","projectTitle":"Exploring the World Through Non-Fiction Books","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Silecchia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/637773"},{"teacherId":9724538,"projectId":8731245,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation. Thanks to your kindness, our classroom now has a beautiful bookshelf, which has already had a profound impact on our learning environment and our students' engagement with reading. When the bookshelf first arrived, it was met with wide-eyed excitement and joy. The students were thrilled to see the new space dedicated to books, and they couldn't wait to begin filling it with stories. It was a moment of pure excitement, and it set the stage for some truly meaningful experiences in the classroom.\r\n\r\nIn the days following the bookshelf's arrival, we began a special project called \"Create Our Own Reading Nook.\" Students selected books from our collection and worked together to organize and arrange them on the new bookshelf. They enjoyed having ownership of the space, and it created a sense of community as we transformed a corner of our classroom into a cozy spot for independent reading. The bookshelf has become an essential resource for our daily reading time. Students now choose books from it, read independently, and reflect on what they've read in reading journals. \r\n\r\nWe are truly grateful for your support. Your contribution has not only filled our classroom with more books but also filled our hearts with a renewed sense of excitement and purpose. The bookshelf has become a place for exploration, growth, and imagination, and it has already made a lasting impact on our students. As we continue to use the bookshelf to enhance our learning, we know it will remain an invaluable part of our classroom. On behalf of my students and myself, thank you for making such a meaningful difference in our educational journey. Your generosity is truly appreciated.","fullyFundedDate":1731709983654,"projectUrl":"project/create-a-library-for-a-classroom-without/8889751/","projectTitle":"Create a Library for a Classroom Without a School Library!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Silecchia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/637773"},{"teacherId":9724538,"projectId":8731238,"letterContent":"This project led to so much excitement in my class. Each day a table gets to use the flower pillows. They lean on them during independent reading and writing time in a \"nook\" of their choice in the classroom. These additions to the classroom have made the room more relaxing and enjoyable.\r\n The storage stumps are a wonderful addition to our classroom as well. They have great storage, which helps keep the classroom neat and organized. I am able to stand up the read aloud books for display. It adds so much charm to the classroom. Thank you so much.
