The ABC ice cream manipulatives and ABC train sight words quickly became favorites during our literacy centers. One special moment happened during small group reading when students used the ice cream manipulatives to build CVC words. They were so excited to \"scoop\" the correct letters together that practicing phonics felt like a game. The light table with sand has also been a powerful tool for learning—students love tracing letters and sight words with their fingers, which helps reinforce letter formation in a hands-on way.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials were first introduced, the excitement in the room was immediate. Students were especially curious about the ABC containers for sensory bins, eagerly searching for letters and matching them to sounds and words. The stepping stones have been wonderful during movement breaks and indoor recess, giving students a fun and structured way to release energy and reset so they can refocus on learning. The rolling desk has also made a big difference for me as a teacher by allowing me to easily access our smart board and move around the room to support students more effectively.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will continue using these materials to strengthen literacy and engagement in our daily routines. Students will practice building sight words and sentences using the trains and sensory bins while also using the light table to trace and write the words they are learning. These hands-on experiences help make learning meaningful and accessible for all of my students. Thanks to your generosity, our classroom is becoming a place where movement, creativity, and literacy come together to support every learner.","fullyFundedDate":1765729209799,"projectUrl":"project/clear-minds-clear-space/9941864/","projectTitle":"Clear Minds, Clear Space","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ariana Torres","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10052154"},{"teacherId":10052154,"projectId":9927648,"letterContent":"My students and I are already making great use of the new resources in our classroom. The Pop-It Galaxy has become a favorite tool for transitions, calming moments, and relaxation time. We have used the Velcro and laminating sheets to create individualized schedules, visual supports, and interactive activities for small-group instruction. The new bins have helped us keep student work areas clean and organized, which is especially important for my students with autism who thrive on structure. We also enjoyed reading the Christmas books together—the students were so engaged and excited during the story. The Kleenex and Lysol have been incredibly helpful as well, especially with how often little ones get runny noses. I was down to my last box, so these supplies were truly needed.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students' reactions were priceless. I let them help me open the packages, and I told them we received gifts. They were shocked, happy, and extremely thankful. They were so excited to see what was inside each box and had so much fun helping me unpack everything. Moments like these remind me how much these resources mean to them—and to me, especially because I'm used to buying everything myself.\r\n\r\nRight now, we are working on a lesson about traditions, where we learn about each other's customs and celebrations. Thanks to these new materials, we will be able to create interactive activities using the lamination sheets and Velcro to support hands-on learning. These resources will continue to make a meaningful impact in our classroom, and we are truly grateful for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1764628557878,"projectUrl":"project/a-beautiful-classroom/9927648/","projectTitle":"A Beautiful Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ariana Torres","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10052154"},{"teacherId":3699045,"projectId":5450506,"letterContent":"I am writing to sincerely thank you for your incredible generosity in providing our classroom with new science library books and engaging \"I Can\" games. Your thoughtful donation has truly transformed our science learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe new books have opened up a world of discovery for our students, allowing them to dive deeper into topics they are curious about and explore new areas of science they had not yet encountered. Having access to a rich science library has already sparked so many wonderful questions and conversations in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe \"I Can\" games have been an especially exciting addition. They are making science concepts more accessible, hands-on, and fun — helping students build confidence as they practice skills and apply their knowledge in new ways.
