That was a science lesson in itself for my students. \r\n\r\nI made tumblers for students and gave them aways as Christmas presents. Having a care closet as a counselor is so beneficial for both myself and the students. Whether I have a student that needs a snack or has had an accident and need something to change into it helps tremendously. I am so relieved to know that essential things that could help my campus has been given to us. The kids and the staff along with myself all appreciate the generosity. \r\n\r\nMy students were excited to know that they don't have to go without a snack or that if they care hungry and they come to see me they could get something small to eat. Often times kids are late to school and miss breakfast Since they can not get themselves to school seeing them be hungry until lunch time is so hard. Now that I have a care closet I can give them something small to satisfy their hunger until its time for lunch. \r\n\r\nNow that I have a care closet I plan to help those students in need. I want to especially be able to partner with my school nurse with supplying undies and socks when needed due to potty accidents. Being at an ECC when this project was funded really helped me see how much that is needed. My students love LEGOs and this project was the perfect way to celebrate their accomplishments and add LEGO decor to the classroom.\r\n\r\nMy students love the LEGO storage bins we use to keep our classroom organized and clean. They resemble the LEGOS the students use in class with their lessons! We keep our LEGOS and other maerials inside these bins that keeps our classroom nice and clean.\r\n\r\nMy student enjoyed the LEGO theme glasses and other items I presented to them at the end of their Gamer Unit. We had a Gamer Truck visit the school, and I used this opportunity to surprise the student with the LEGO items in goody bags.
