The new classroom carpet, cushion squares, and storage tubs have had a huge impact on both our students' comfort and our daily routines. Every morning now begins with a sense of calm and community. As my students gather on our beautiful new carpet for morning meeting, you can feel the difference—everyone has a spot, and everyone feels included. Before, students didn't have their own designated spaces during group time, which often led to distractions and crowding. Now, the carpet and cushion squares help create clear, personal spaces for each child, making our meetings smoother and more focused. The cushion squares have quickly become a favorite classroom tool! They've also become a great incentive—students earn the privilege of choosing their favorite cushion square for demonstrating responsibility or teamwork. This flexible and comfortable seating option has encouraged independence, motivation, and excitement for learning.\r\n\r\nThe plastic storage tubs have also made a tremendous difference in keeping our classroom running smoothly. Curriculum materials, center activities, and manipulatives now each have their own neatly labeled home.\r\n\r\nYour support has done far more than provide classroom materials—you've helped create an environment where students feel comfortable, responsible, and excited to learn each day. It's heartwarming to see how something as simple as comfort and organization can nurture confidence, focus, and joy in young learners.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in our classroom and helping us build a space where every child can thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1757423303218,"projectUrl":"project/kindergarten-club/9421716/","projectTitle":"Kindergarten Club","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Huff","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10059042"},{"teacherId":8268640,"projectId":9188368,"letterContent":"Since receiving the phonics materials, countless small groups have already used these materials. The students are engaged and are able to work on the specific reading skill that they are ready for. \r\n\r\nTypically, a classroom has a lot of material to support the children who are at or below the current benchmark. However, often there are very minimal materials to support the children who need enrichment. When I opened the boxes, all my students were able to benefit, but my children above the current benchmark were elated to see games to support their current level!","fullyFundedDate":1746667138603,"projectUrl":"project/phonics-and-beyond-using-decodables-and/9188368/","projectTitle":"Phonics and Beyond: Using Decodables and Games to Solidify Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Acosta","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8268640"},{"teacherId":9461954,"projectId":9386880,"letterContent":"Thank you for your support of our classrooms. We could not be more grateful for your donation to help bring movement activities to all of our students. Your support and materials you've donated have already made our classrooms more accessible to our students. They have been able to sit at the same level as their peers who need wheelchairs thanks to the stools that were donated. The students who are sensitive to sound have access to noise canceling headphones, and we now have enough for every student, taking away the stigma from needing to use them. Students who cannot play a recorder due to physical limitation have been able to play desk bells with their peers, learning the same skills in a different way. Movement activities have been more exciting to start the year with new scarves and a parachute. The students have been loving using these materials to show how music moves and is phrased (and, who doesn't love a good parachute activity?). \r\n\r\nThe donation you made has had a significant impact on our students, and we are beyond grateful. Without your support, we never would have been able to provide two class sets of noise canceling headphones. Having the ability to have the materials needed for students to sit at the same level as their classmates or to have access to a wobble cushion when they need to move their body has been incredibly validating for our students and their confidence in the classroom.
