Thank You! Thank You! You have blessed my class tremendously. It was such a relief to be able to start the year with necessary supplies for my disadvantaged students. Due to your benevolent gift, no one went without. I was so relieved when a student was lacking I was already equipped to be able to distribute and continue with class. Due to your kind gift, there was not a interruption in learning. I have even been able to share with other classes so your gift has exceeded my class. Being a Title I school the majority of my students are economically disadvantaged, with your help you have supplied tools for success.\r\n\r\nThe composition notebooks, erasers, pencils, sharpner, headphones and tablet are used daily. The excitement in the room was evident, scholars couldn't wait to get their hands on them and start practicing. For many, simply holding the boards made math feel more hands-on and fun, and the ability to quickly flip the numbers before writing their answers down encouraged them to take more risks in their learning.\r\n\r\nOne of our most impactful lessons was using the flip-boards to practice place values. Students worked in small groups to solve problems, writing numbers out to the tenths, hundredths, and thousandths place. They held up their boards simultaneously, allowing us to compare answers as a class, which made it easy to catch mistakes and discuss strategies together. A favorite moment was when students began challenging each other with their own decimal problems. Suddenly, math practice became a collaborative game instead of just an assignment.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we'll continue to use these boards in lessons on long division, building on the foundation of place value we've developed. Thanks to these resources, students are more engaged, confident, and willing to learn through trial and error. Your generosity has given us the tools to make math interactive, immediate, and joyful for our scholars.","fullyFundedDate":1750293372470,"projectUrl":"project/make-math-a-hands-on-experience/9356555/","projectTitle":"Make Math a Hands-On Experience","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. NItz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2230734_orig.jpg?crop=2744,2744,x754,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747243395620","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2230734"},{"teacherId":2230734,"projectId":9349494,"letterContent":"When our scholars at Springwoods Village Middle School first saw the new dry-erase graphing whiteboards, they were immediately excited. Many of the scholars eagerly picked one up before I even finished explaining how we were going to use them that day. The ability to quickly sketch graphs, erase mistakes, and compare their work with classmates instantly made lessons more engaging and interactive. They even helped many scholars feel comfortable with making mistakes and improved their growth mindset.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments came during a lesson on linear equations. Students worked in pairs to graph multiple equations and then held up their boards for a competition-like atmosphere. They compared slopes and intercepts with peers, and the room buzzed with conversations like, \"Ours intersects at the same point as yours!\" The boards not only provided students with a hands-on way to visualize abstract math concepts, but they also encouraged communication, teamwork, and a deeper understanding. All of these skills are necessary for them to practice and use at our IB school. \r\n\r\nMoving forward, these boards will continue to be a vital part of our daily math practice. Our next steps include using them for an upcoming summative project on systems of equations, where students will solve real-world problems and display their work for group discussions. Thanks to these resources, our classroom is more dynamic, interactive, and student-centered. We are deeply grateful for your generosity in making this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1750294225839,"projectUrl":"project/math-manipulatives-dry-erase-boards/9349494/","projectTitle":"Math Manipulatives Dry-Erase Boards","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. NItz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2230734_orig.jpg?crop=2744,2744,x754,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747243395620","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2230734"},{"teacherId":7382248,"projectId":8930624,"letterContent":"Thank you for helping me capture spectacular sports moments. The students were ecstatic when the boxes arrived, and their faces lit up with excitement as they unpacked each item. The dry erase boards have become an essential part of our daily routine, allowing for interactive lessons, collaborative brainstorming sessions, and engaging games that reinforce learning. The markers, pencils, and glue are constantly in use, and the laminating pouches have helped us preserve student work and create durable learning resources. We are using some materials for our current project.\r\n\r\nThe scissors, glue, and cardstock have been invaluable for our creative projects. Students are now able to design and construct elaborate models, colorful posters, and unique artwork to showcase their understanding of different subjects. We are currently working on a project where students are creating 3D masks to demonstrate their self-expression abilities. \r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in our students and providing them with these amazing resources. Your support has not only enhanced our learning environment but has also fostered a sense of pride and ownership in the students.
