This gives them a greater sense of independence and helps reduce frustration and challenging behaviors because they have a way to communicate what they need.\r\nSome of my students have especially warmed to this technology and enjoy pressing the buttons to hear the messages. Hearing my recorded voice say the words also encourages them to listen, imitate, and practice making sounds and saying words themselves. These simple voice buttons have given my students a powerful way to communicate, participate, and feel more confident in the classroom.
