Each of the classes completes a wide variety of projects with a variety of needs and wants. Some options are required for best practices. \r\nOne example of the safety needed to run my Introduction to Shop Technology for 8th graders. As it is a required class and we work in the shop, certain materials are needed to ensure each individual student's safety. Safety glasses and hairbands for the shop were a big requirement. Students no longer need to use unsafe scratched safety glasses that hinder their work. The inability to tie back their hair, which in the past prevented them from completing their work, is no longer a roadblock. Other material donated included dowels for their projects. As an educator, I feel at ease being able to provide my students with the means to succeed in a safe learning environment. \r\nAnother example that my Exploring Agriculture 7th-grade students received this year was the ability to take home their projects with the portion cups donated through this website. During the Dairy unit, we make fresh butter. The cups, with lids, enable student to safely transport their completed project at the end of the day. \r\nOverall, without your kindness, a student's experience could be drastically different.
