The items have quickly become an essential part of our daily classroom routine, helping students stay focused, calm, and ready to learn. We've incorporated the sensory tools into both individual workstations and group activities, allowing students to choose what helps them best regulate their emotions and attention. The calming corner for students who need a break to reset before returning to work is amazing.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students' faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. They eagerly explored each item, sharing their favorites and even showing each other how to use them. One of the most memorable moments was watching a student who typically struggles with transitions calmly move from one activity to another after using the sensory tools—something that used to be very difficult for him.\r\n\r\nThese materials have truly made a difference in our CDC classroom. They have given my students more opportunities to self-regulate, focus, and participate meaningfully in their learning. The sensory items have created a more inclusive, supportive environment where each student can thrive. Your generosity has made a lasting impact, and we are so grateful for the difference it has made in our classroom community.","fullyFundedDate":1757045916463,"projectUrl":"project/tools-to-feel-focus-and-thrive/9466624/","projectTitle":"Tools To Feel, Focus, and Thrive","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Frye","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10081117"},{"teacherId":9580162,"projectId":9067503,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our culinary classroom! Because of your contributions, we were able to provide students with new aprons, measuring tools, and mixer bowls that are already making a huge impact.\r\n\r\nOne of the first projects we will complete is setting up our classroom cafe with these resources. Students will practice accurate measuring and teamwork. The aprons will add an extra layer of professionalism to the cafe that will make them feel like true chefs in training.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was contagious. Many shared how much they appreciated having updated equipment that reflects what they see in real kitchens and on cooking shows. These seemingly simple tools helped create an environment where students feel proud, prepared, and motivated to learn.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are excited to move into more advanced baking projects such as yeast breads and cakes. These new resources will help our students refine their skills, maintain consistency in their recipes, and prepare for upcoming culinary competitions.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our students' learning. Your generosity has truly elevated their classroom experience, and we are grateful for the difference you've made in their education.","fullyFundedDate":1746786329579,"projectUrl":"project/culinary-arts-classroom/9067503/","projectTitle":"Culinary Arts Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dossett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9580162_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1720476855607","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9580162"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_93083","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1223,"numTeachers":82,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":41,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":37,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":57.3,"schoolId":93083,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Springfield High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Springfield High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/tennessee/robertson-county-school-district/springfield-high-school/93083"}
