I made sure she got first dibs to learn more about her topic. \r\nRight after I took the attached photos, the books disappeared quickly, students asking me if they can have certain ones. \r\nWe are so so thankful for this project and I am beyond happy that I could give them the exact books they were hoping for. The new outdoor toys have completely changed recess. Before this project, we didn't have a bag or multiple toys to bring outside, but now they love taking turns to bring everything out! They're also spending their time running, playing, taking turns, and working together. Having enough equipment for everyone has reduced conflicts and helped students have positive social interactions with each other.\r\nInside the classroom, your donation brought us something my class adores: The Spot books! These books have become a comforting favorite during read-aloud time, and my students smile when I pull one out during our SEL time. The holiday Spot books especially have added extra excitement to our seasonal lessons, and students often ask to re-read them on their own.\r\nAnother one of the biggest hits from this project was the Slytherin Harry Potter Squishmallow. The moment I opened it, the class was thrilled. It instantly became a new favorite. Many of them even want us to start collecting the rest of the Hogwarts houses!\r\nThank you again for supporting my students in such meaningful and joyful ways. Their excitement filled the room, and it was clear immediately how much these materials meant to them.\r\nWe now have a wonderful Cool Down Corner that the kids are eager to use and share. It has quickly become one of their favorite places in the classroom. They even choose to spend their time during indoor recess. This space has become such a bright, peaceful spot in our room, and it is helping our class community grow stronger each day we are here.\r\nThanks to you, we are now able to teach and practice healthier emotional-regulation skills. For the rest of the year, we'll continue to learn how to better understand our feelings, manage our emotions, and use our new tools and space in meaningful ways. The arrival of our Story Box was pure magic for my students. The moment they saw the mysterious chest sitting in the front of the room, their imaginations took off. Every day that passed before we opened it added to the suspense. They would whisper guesses, point at the box during class, and even ask if I had peeked inside.\r\nWhen the long-awaited day finally arrived, they walked into the room expecting to see the lid thrown open...but it was still tightly shut. I began our usual lesson as though nothing was different, until I stopped mid-sentence and sighed, disappointed that the box hadn't revealed its secrets. That's when the real adventure began. A few sharp-eyed students spotted a bright green leaf \"hidden\" in our magical classroom tree with a clue written on it. This leaf told us to read a story about imagination.\r\nAs we read together, the students began to connect with the character who, thinking that she had \"lost\" and needed to find her imagination, set off on a grand adventure throughout her house and realized that her imagination had always been there. As she searched a \"cave\" she reached out and her hand touched a furry creature. She was delighted to find out that it wasn't anything scary, but a lost stuffed animal that she had been searching for. I shared that I, too, had lost something...a special coloring book about magic. When we turned the final page, ANOTHER green leaf was tucked inside. It instructed us to look in the Story Box! The room went silent as I slowly lifted the lid. Inside was my \"lost\" coloring book, but every page was blank. The children gasped, puzzled, until I suggested that maybe we could fill it with pictures using only our imaginations. The energy in the room was electric. They \"drew,\" \"colored,\" and finally \"erased\" their pictures all without a single crayon. Their faces glowed with pride at the power of their own creativity.\r\nSince that day, the Story Box has continued to inspire new surprises. We've danced with our beautiful new scarves to The Sorcerer's Apprentice, learned how to treat delicate materials with care and respect, and explored our voices while bringing gentle ghosts to life. The Story Box has turned every lesson into an experience filled with discovery, imagination, and joy.\r\nYour generosity has made all of this possible. Because of you, my students walk into music class eager to see what adventure awaits. As the season of gratitude is upon us we are looking forward to seeing what imaginative adventures the Story Box will bring to our classroom. Please know how thankful we are for your kindness and belief in the power of imagination.","fullyFundedDate":1754012029762,"projectUrl":"project/unlocking-creativity-a-musical-story-bo/9496252/","projectTitle":"Unlocking Creativity: A Musical Story Box for Joyful Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Chuhta","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3433081_orig.jpg?crop=2502,2502,x0,y83&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753367757740","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3433081"},{"teacherId":9119364,"projectId":9306155,"letterContent":"My students are so excited to be using BrainPop.
