This project has been a goal of mine for this school year. My students typically stay with me anywhere from one year to six years. I wanted to set up a Life Skills classroom geared toward my older more independently students.\r\nThe classroom focuses on Calendar skills, money skills, environmental signs, telling time, social situations and student's personal information. The class also has designated areas such as a construction zone, library, nursery and kitchen. \r\n The students are loving to classroom. They are learning and are so eager to go everyday even my student who is a wonderful well behave student but doesn't show much interest in other non-academic activities. He doesn't smile often but when it is\r\nhis turn you can see a slight smile. My fourth grade female student loves the jeep that has to be put together that was a shock but she is a country girl who loves to ride horses.
