Thanks to your generosity, my first, third, and fifth grade students have been able to create wonderful projects that showcase their learning. \r\n\r\nIn the attached pictures, you will see one-page projects that showcase my multilingual learners' skills. These projects include vocabulary learned from a read book, writing, such as short-constructed responses and summaries, and story elements like plot. They were also able to draw pictures to share their visual interpretations of the story. \r\n\r\nHaving new supplies to complete these types of activities in our culturally and linguistically diverse classroom really makes students feel special and comfortable with who they are inside and out!","fullyFundedDate":1755688320810,"projectUrl":"project/exploring-culture-and-language-through-s/9545843/","projectTitle":"Exploring Culture and Language Through Science","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Giron","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9634466"},{"teacherId":10163018,"projectId":9607010,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations of construction paper and folders for our art room! My K–5 students have been using these materials to create personal sketchbooks and art portfolios, and they could not be more excited. Each student now has a special place to sketch, plan, and collect their artwork throughout the year—a huge step in helping them see their growth as young artists.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the colorful paper and brand-new folders, their excitement filled the room! They immediately began decorating their covers and personalizing them with drawings, stickers, and bright designs. It was such a joyful moment to see how something so simple could spark so much creativity and pride in their work.\r\n\r\nThese materials have also allowed us to start a new classroom routine called \"Sketchbook Starters,\" where students begin each art class with a creative prompt or reflection before moving into larger projects. Our next step is to use their portfolios to prepare for our upcoming schoolwide art show, where students will select and display their favorite pieces. Thanks to your support, they'll have a beautiful and organized way to showcase all their hard work and artistic growth!\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only provided valuable supplies but has also helped foster a sense of ownership, pride, and creativity in each of my students. My K–5 students absolutely love it. We've turned it into our special gathering spot for art show-and-tell and story time, where students share their artwork and ideas with one another. It's amazing how something as simple as a rug has made such a big difference—it's become a creative and welcoming space where every student feels comfortable speaking and sharing.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first walked in and saw the rug, their faces lit up just like the cheerful smiley faces on it! They immediately sat down and started talking about which colors they liked best. It sparked an impromptu conversation about how colors can express emotions—an unexpected but perfect art connection.\r\n\r\nRight now, my classes are working on a self-portrait project that focuses on identity and self-expression. The rug has been a great place for students to gather and reflect on what makes them unique before they begin creating. Our next step is preparing to share these portraits during our upcoming art show, and I know that rug will once again be the heart of our room for storytelling and celebration.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping make our art room a brighter, happier, and more inspiring place to learn and create!","fullyFundedDate":1754842297389,"projectUrl":"project/art-room-carpet-for-story-time/9559867/","projectTitle":"Art Room Carpet for Story Time!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Erica","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10163018"},{"teacherId":9017231,"projectId":9545859,"letterContent":"I am truly grateful for your generous support of my \"Class Supplies\" project. Because of your kindness, my students will be able to work in flexible spaces around the classroom, not just at desks, using whiteboards and magnetic paper, engage more deeply in math and literacy through tactile, hands-on tools, and build a stronger classroom community where each student feels valued, supported, and empowered to share their thinking.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has made a significant difference — not just in the supplies we'll get, but in the experiences, opportunities, and growth of the students in my classroom. \r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our learning journey. \r\n\r\nWith gratitude,\r\nMrs. Taylor","fullyFundedDate":1755702818360,"projectUrl":"project/class-supplies/9545859/","projectTitle":"Class Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Taylor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9017231_orig.jpg?crop=716,716,x281,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1683306420216","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9017231"},{"teacherId":9229262,"projectId":9545792,"letterContent":"Words cannot express my gratitude.
