Before we had the materials, addition was an abstract idea for this student. Numbers didn't always make sense, and it was hard for them to see how two groups could come together to make a bigger number. With the ten frame, everything clicked. They are now able to place counters into the frame, count them, and clearly see the results. This one resource has opened a door to new understanding, giving this child confidence and excitement about math.\r\n\r\nOther students are benefiting in similar ways. Many are learning to recognize and write their numbers more consistently because they can connect the written symbols to the objects they manipulate. When they count out cubes, arrange items on the ten frame, or match numbers to groups of objects, they begin to see the relationships between numbers and quantities. This process is essential for building a strong math foundation, and I am so thankful they have the tools to make these important connections.\r\n\r\nBeyond academic growth, the materials have also encouraged collaboration and communication. I often see small groups of students working together at the math center, helping each other, asking questions, and explaining their thinking.
