We use the sensory spin chairs, feet cushions for movement, and seat cushions every day as part of our learning environment. The seat cushions have become a favorite during partner work and independent floor work, giving students flexible seating options that help them stay comfortable and engaged. I have seen students use these tools to better regulate their bodies, focus during lessons, and be more successful both academically and behaviorally.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were thrilled. There was so much excitement, especially when they realized these resources were for them to use every day. One special moment was watching students naturally choose tools that helped them focus during reading and collaborative activities. Students who often struggle to stay seated or attentive have been able to participate more successfully, and the cushions and movement supports have become an important part of our classroom community.\r\n\r\nAs we continue using these resources, the next steps are incorporating them into even more student-centered learning experiences. \r\n\r\nNext up in our classroom, students are researching an endangered animal and creating a poster to teach others about habitat loss, and human impact.
