I had daily math groups working on one to one correspondence using the ten frames and puzzles. I had another math group using the subtraction and addition board to start adding and subtracting within 10. Furthermore the tracing and sensory friendly design of the materials increased engagement tenfold. The use of tangible manipulatives helped an English language learner begin to recognize written numerals with amounts.
