The impact on our classroom has been truly remarkable.\r\n\r\nFrom the moment my students saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. They couldn't wait to dive in and explore! One of the most memorable moments was when we introduced our storytelling puppets for the first time. Students who were once hesitant to speak in English eagerly took turns acting out stories, using the puppets to bring their words to life. It was amazing to see their confidence grow in such a fun and engaging way! \r\n\r\nFor my younger students, the favorite so far has been the Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly and Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. Students who never spoke above a whisper confidently acted out the scenes from the book with the use of the puppets. My fourth and fifth grade newcomer students have really enjoyed the Seek and Find picture book! They eagerly ask each other \"who,\" \"what,\" and \"where\" questions, then race to find the answers. Two of my students were so excited about it that they even asked where I got the book—they wanted to take it home to practice with their families and friends! \r\n\r\nCurrently, we are using these hands-on materials to support their social and conversational English. Through role-playing activities and interactive games, my students are building their vocabulary and learning essential language skills in a low-pressure environment. The next step is to expand their storytelling by incorporating writing—helping them bridge the gap between spoken and written English in a way that feels natural and exciting. We have started doing this together as a group and partnerships and I am looking forward to seeing what they can do individually. \r\n\r\nYour generosity has made a lasting difference in my students' learning journey, and I can't thank you enough for believing in them - and helping me out very much!
