Thanks to your donations, my students now have access to STEM bins filled with Legos, Brain Flakes, straws and connectors, magnetic tiles, and interlocking cubes. We use these materials daily as part of our early finisher activities and through \"Maker Mats,\" which are choice boards that encourage students to select hands-on tasks that spark creative thinking and problem-solving. The excitement was contagious the day all the boxes arrived. One student even exclaimed, \"It's like Christmas in August!\" Students eagerly unpacked the materials and helped organize everything neatly into a new shelving unit that keeps our makerspace tidy and accessible.\r\n\r\nOur new makerspace has quickly become one of the most engaging areas in our classroom. Students collaborate to build bridges, design models of buildings, and test different ways to make their structures stronger or more efficient. Those with a passion for STEM especially love the opportunity to imagine, design, and create tangible projects that connect to what we're learning in science and math. This space has transformed how my students think and learn—giving them a place to experiment, take risks, and grow as problem solvers and innovators.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping make this dream a reality for our classroom. Your generosity has inspired a love of learning and creativity that will continue to grow throughout the school year!","fullyFundedDate":1750828681861,"projectUrl":"project/stem-spark-launching-a-makerspace-for-f/9416603/","projectTitle":"STEM Spark: Launching a Makerspace for Future Inventors!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Palomo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9071225_orig.jpg?crop=1500,1500,x0,y300&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750088836697","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9071225"},{"teacherId":10071375,"projectId":9447289,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donation to our Kindergarten classroom! The new carpet, social-emotional learning books, crayons, and organizational drawers have made such a meaningful difference in our daily routine. The children absolutely love gathering on our new carpet as an escape if they need a moment to gather their emotions or to read a book in our library/calm corner! It's quickly become everyone's favorite spot in the room. The books you provided have sparked wonderful conversations about emotions and kindness, and it's heartwarming to see the students beginning to use the language and strategies from those stories in real life. Helping to incorporate our core mustang values of being responsible, respectful, and safe.\r\n\r\nThe kids were beyond excited when they saw the new supplies arrive! They couldn't wait to explore everything, and during open house the kids bragged about how \"our classroom has the best stuff.\" The crayons have helped them dive into creative projects with joy and pride, and the drawers have given them a sense of responsibility as they organize their materials \"like big kids\". Your kindness has not only enriched our classroom but has also made the children feel proud, valued, and excited about learning.
