We were able to purchase several books for two different purposes. The first was to add dictionaries in other languages to our library collection, specifically in languages that are spoken among Silver Creek families (eg. Spanish, Vietnamese). We also were able to purchase several high-interest, popular series, such as I Survived and Babysitter's Club, to replenish our prize shelves. These prizes are used for our summer reading program, as well as throughout the year for book fair and other literacy-focused school events.
