Transitions became smoother, and students felt more comfortable moving from one activity to the next.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, students will continue using this organization system as we work on longer center activities and collaborative projects. These small incentives help children practice emotional regulation, build self-control, and understand that positive behavior is recognized and celebrated. The new hangers in our lost-and-found area are also being used as a teaching tool, helping students take responsibility for their belongings and practice independence.\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were excited and curious. The rewards immediately captured their attention and motivated meaningful conversations about expected behaviors and classroom values. Students were especially proud when they earned recognition, and many eagerly shared their successes with peers. They immediately wanted to touch them, explore the numbers, and start counting. Even students who are usually hesitant during math time were eager to participate. Our warm and cozy coats arrived within a week and the students and I were so excited as I opened each box. Every coat was warm and the perfect size for each child. I wrote the name of each child in the coat and sent them home. The next day, all students walked in to class with their new coat.\r\n\r\nThis is a gift that keeps on giving because students wear their coat all Winter, early, Spring, Fall and then the following year as well.
