The ping pong tables have already provided students the opportunity to learn new skills and a new sport while staying active indoors. \r\n\r\nStudents are already loving playing ping pong in PE! I also have readers that are working really hard in other aspects of their reading goals! The smaller chapter books help them build reading stamina as they work on their comprehension and reading fluency. \r\n When we read, students have flexible seating options. They get to sit on the carpet with cushions. They also get to sit outside in the sun while they read! We celebrate reading and the books that have been donated impact my classroom in such a positive way! For example, Mia used to only look at the pictures, but now she's reading full sentences with a big smile! I am able to set them up to separate different games occurring on different parts of the blacktop.
