We are beyond thankful for your generosity and kindness. With your support, you have set my students up for success.\r\n I teach middle school special education. I have students from 6th-8th grade. With the mice and headphones, they can use their computers more easily for their studies. Many had a hard time with the trackpad and now don't have to worry because of the mice. The headphones are nice for those who don't have them, and for testing. I know have enough for all students when testing for MAST and MAPS. The fidgets also help them to stay focused and on task. \r\n The Klenex, whiteboard cleaner, stapler, first aid kit, Clorox wipes, white out, glue, markers, and tape help us to keep the classroom stocked for the year. I appreciate that you helped me out with supplies that they are definitely using. \r\n The slime kits, snacks, and bean bag covers help to offer incentives for them to try their best. We use these as rewards or on our fun day. I know we wouldn't have this without your help. Receiving the new books from Donors Choose has been so exciting! My students were overjoyed with new books to choose from! There are so many skills that are taught throughout the book club process. The most important being the discussions that happen in the classroom. Students are engaged and learning new skills and standards through this process. Story elements using Padlet are recorded daily! Even my students who have struggled with reading and completing novels have flourished during this process. My reluctant readers enjoy having a choice in what novel that they are reading and seem to have more excitement about the book they choose. \r\nReceiving new books for my classroom has changed the tone about reading into a positive, exciting experience!","fullyFundedDate":1726240371326,"projectUrl":"project/book-club-cafe/8742637/","projectTitle":"Book Club Cafe","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Robison","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9732087"},{"teacherId":9748256,"projectId":8778767,"letterContent":"Thank you for contributing to our classroom library. We looked at the cover, read the description, and talked about some anticipatory topics from the book (anxiety, identify, etc.) Then, students made a plan for themselves individually of how much they would read daily to make their independent goals. They wrote their goals into their planners and then started reading. \r\n\r\nPart of the project involved researching the Cherokee tribe's traditions and stories, looking for cause and effect in the book, identifying point of view, and of course basic comprehension.
