My students are enjoying using the stem bins during morning work time, inside recess and fun Friday celebrations. These bins allow students to be creative, explore math and sciences skills as well as working on fine motor skills. Due to the rise in technology use in young children, the majority of my students spend very little time at home playing with blocks, working puzzles and being creative. My students look forward to stem bin times each week! This project also provided me with a teacher pay teacher gift card which allows me to purchase more hands on crafts, thematic units and practice pages use in my classroom. Thanks again for supporting public education and bringing smiles to my student's faces.","fullyFundedDate":1755392904916,"projectUrl":"project/starting-the-day-with-stem-bins/9325027/","projectTitle":"Starting the Day with STEM Bins","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Litton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/clitton"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_2970","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":736,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":83,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":64,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":14,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"26.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":52.8,"schoolId":2970,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Shepherd Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Shepherd Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/iredell-statesville-sch-dist/shepherd-elementary-school/2970"}
