As a teacher, every second in the classroom counts. Being able to have materials organized to maximize time in the classroom is huge. Your donation helped me to do this. \r\n\r\nI meet with my students in reading groups daily. Having these organized notebooks saves valuable time passing out materials. My students have everything they need in one central location. The first day they used them they were elated! A few squealed with excitement. They absolutely love having these notebooks. \r\n\r\nHow are we using the materials? We use the colored cubes to map out sounds in words on the mapping map located in one of the page protectors inside the notebook. These show how many sounds a student hears in a word before they attempt to write it. We use the dry erase boards to write the words after we have mapped them out. When we are done, students know exactly how to sort and store the materials in the notebook so they are ready to move on to their next work station/center.
