Students with disabilities often face additional barriers to learning, and something as simple as having materials ready to go can remove stress and create space for success. These resources help students stay organized, build confidence, and feel motivated during study hall time. The content I teach is so much more meaningful if students can see it , talk about it together, and then decide for themself. With your generous donation, this is an even easier task. We do many simulations and station rotations to keep students engaged and active. These tasks are so much better if students can also learn organization. With the caddies and sticky notes, students can easily move from station to station, add their ideas to a prompt or a visual, read the ideas of others, have discussions, ask questions, and then collaborate to deeper understanding. Students use individual whiteboards to get their own thoughts out in a safe way before committing anything to an assignment- with school supplies so limited the Expo markers make this task easier for them to learn self sufficiency. These small changes have elevated their confidence and their ability to process difficult materials without fear.
