Words cannot express how thankful, both the teachers and students in my room, are feeling. We now have a cozy and much cleaner space to sit together. Every morning, we have a morning meeting on the rug. Throughout the day, students listen to stories on the rug, play with toys on it, and just spend time sitting with their teachers and friends. The \"ooohs\" and \"ahhhhs\" that we got from the students while we were replacing the old one were adorable.\r\nOur last rug was very dirty after years of use and it had boxes for the students to sit in. They seemed to struggle with understanding the lines and what space was theirs. With the buttons on the new rug, they grasp the idea of personal space a lot more and are able to see where their body should be. We are incredibly thankful for your generosity and we appreciate that you played a big role in making this happen. Thank you again.","fullyFundedDate":1756316550988,"projectUrl":"project/a-clean-inviting-colorful-rug-to-gathe/9402143/","projectTitle":"A Clean, Inviting, Colorful Rug to Gather on Together","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Overstreet","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2198333_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1451853665100","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-jessicakoch"},{"teacherId":5375867,"projectId":9047407,"letterContent":"I want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your support of STEAM centers. From the moment students were introduced to the new centers, their creativity and curiosity were immediately ignited. It has been truly rewarding to incorporate both directed and undirected exploration with students right away.\r\n\r\nThe excitement in the classroom was palpable as students dove into the new materials:\r\n\r\nKindergarteners were the first to explore, using the IQ Builder Blocks and Tinker Toys to create spiders. This hands-on activity gave them a new way to visualize and understand the different parts of a spider, including counting the legs!\r\n\r\nThird graders explored length and measurement by using Brain Flakes to create the longest possible rope. The students were thrilled as they experimented with different building techniques and challenged each other's designs.\r\n\r\nOther students explored wheels and axles, discovering how to attach them securely and testing how their creations moved.\r\n\r\nFourth graders used Brain Flakes to represent radial symmetry during their Mandalas unit, applying their creativity to the weekly driving question:\r\n\"How can I create mandala art using radial symmetry?\"\r\n\r\nThe chenille stems became part of a loose parts activity for Kindergarteners, where they created imaginative bugs. This activity not only sparked creativity but also fostered empathy for bugs as students learned to appreciate their role in nature.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your support in making these enriching learning experiences possible. The STEAM centers are truly making a difference in helping students think critically, explore creatively, and engage deeply with their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1740521792797,"projectUrl":"project/super-steam-centers/9047407/","projectTitle":"Super STEAM Centers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bowen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5375867_orig.jpg?crop=155,155,x0,y15&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1736534720450","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5375867"},{"teacherId":5488440,"projectId":4621403,"letterContent":"My student shave loved We are beyond grateful for your generous support of our project-based learning classroom!
