Because of your kindness, our students are actively collecting food scraps on campus and turning them into compost instead of sending waste to the landfill. Your contributions have made this hands-on environmental project possible and meaningful for my students.\r\n\r\nThe compostable trash bags and twist ties have allowed students to easily collect food scraps in a clean, organized way. The gloves have helped ensure safety and cleanliness while students collect compost materials. The digital scale has been especially impactful, as it allows students to collect quantitative data on the amount of food waste we are diverting from the landfill.\r\n\r\nThe addition of redworms has taken our project to the next level. The worms have inspired a new classroom tradition: our \"Worm of the Week\" award. This fun recognition is given to a student who has stood out for responsibility, curiosity, or leadership during the week, further building a positive classroom culture.\r\n\r\nYour support has empowered students to make a real environmental impact while learning valuable scientific skills. There are multiple students who have taken up the responsibility of collecting scraps from other students and bringing them to me after break or lunch.
