The 3rd grade students here at Seneca Elementary have been using the wiggle stools like crazy this school year! They are certainly a big hit! The kids love the colors, and they enjoy the flexibility having stools provides for grouping.\r\n We use the stools most for math groups. Every lesson has a Solve and Share activity that I am not allowed to help them on. Students must work as teams to solve real-world creative problems using their calculation skills and logic. It is really fun to see them working together and how their use of the stools and movement fluctuates during times when they are experiencing success, and times they are experiencing challenges.\r\n We also use the stools during our movement breaks, science data collection and discussion, and during our small group reading time.","fullyFundedDate":1740157442370,"projectUrl":"project/focusing-on-forces-of-motion/9117799/","projectTitle":"Focusing on Forces of Motion","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wagner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5984552_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1662387970708","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5984552"},{"teacherId":3758467,"projectId":3966634,"letterContent":"Thanks to your support, our volleyball program has taken a big leap forward! My student-athletes were thrilled when the new equipment arrived—they could hardly wait to get into the gym and put it to use. Since then, we've incorporated the training cones, new volleyballs, and skill-specific gear into our practices, and the difference is already clear.\r\n\r\nWith more volleyballs, we can run faster-paced drills that give every athlete more touches and opportunities to grow. The agility equipment has become a daily part of our warmups, and players are noticeably quicker and more confident in their movements. Specialized tools for positions have allowed us to break into smaller groups and work on targeted skills, which has improved our overall team performance.\r\n\r\nFor many of my athletes, volleyball is more than just a sport—it's a chance to build confidence, friendships, and school pride. In a small school like ours, these kinds of experiences are especially meaningful, and your generosity is helping make them possible. One memorable moment was during a math scavenger hunt, when students used their clipboards to record data and strategies while moving around the room.
