With the Life Savers candies you helped provide, students have been more motivated to participate in formative questions, group discussions, and collaborative problem-solving activities. What might seem like a simple incentive has truly energized our classroom; students are eager to contribute ideas and take part in lessons with more confidence and enthusiasm than ever before. Many of our learners who are sometimes hesitant to speak up in class have found themselves raising their hands more often and taking greater ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nEven more exciting has been the addition of the 3D extruder. This piece of instructional technology has opened up a world of curiosity and creativity for students in our science and STEM units. You've provided not just supplies, but opportunities for deeper inquiry and lifelong learning.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students' curiosity, confidence, and classroom excitement. Your support has made our lessons more interactive, helped students push past their comfort zones, and strengthened their belief in what they can achieve.","fullyFundedDate":1763834940701,"projectUrl":"project/from-life-savers-to-lifelong-learners/9909980/","projectTitle":"From Life Savers to Lifelong Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lynch","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10357568"},{"teacherId":10358631,"projectId":9912331,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the resources you provided to our district. The Spikeball sets and fitness mat have already had a very positive impact on our middle and high school physical education classes.\r\n\r\nSpikeball, in particular, has added an exciting new element to our yard games unit. It is a fast-paced, engaging activity that students absolutely love. Many of our students were extremely excited when they saw the two Spikeball nets, as this is a game they have been asking to play for a long time. The fitness mat is also used across a variety of games and PE activities, and having a new, high-quality mat has been a tremendous help.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue providing students with opportunities to learn and participate in physical activities and skills they can use for the rest of their lives. We strongly believe in lifelong fitness and the importance of exposing students to activities that they can continue to enjoy and use to maintain their health and wellness long after they leave Seneca East.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and support of our physical education program. With only two printers before, we often had long waits and limited time for each student to work on hands-on projects. Now, with additional machines in our classroom, students are spending more time designing, iterating, and creating real objects, strengthening their skills in engineering, design, and problem-solving. These tools have turned abstract STEM concepts into concrete learning experiences; allowing students to see their ideas come to life in three dimensions, which deepens understanding and engagement. \r\n The excitement around this new technology has been palpable. Students who were once hesitant to tackle complex problems are now enthusiastically diving into design challenges, collaborating with classmates, and pushing themselves to think creatively. Some students have even taken the initiative to teach peers how to use the software and troubleshoot prints, growing confidence and leadership in the classroom. For many, 3D printing has become more than a tool; it's a way to express their creativity and explore future interests in engineering, architecture, and manufacturing. \r\n For students who may not have access to this type of technology at home, the classroom printers have been especially transformative. These learners are now able to experiment with cutting-edge tools they might otherwise never encounter, leveling the playing field and fueling aspirations that extend beyond our school walls. Parents and teachers alike have noticed how this technology encourages persistence, curiosity, and excitement for learning, making STEM subjects feel more achievable and relevant to real-world careers.","fullyFundedDate":1763572179807,"projectUrl":"project/printing-the-future-at-our-school/9907055/","projectTitle":"Printing the Future at Our School","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Baker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10355169"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_134536","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":null,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":39,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":false,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":12.5,"schoolId":134536,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Seneca East Local Middle & High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Seneca East Local Middle & High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/ohio/seneca-east-local-school-district/seneca-east-local-middle-high-school/134536"}
