This week, students used the manipulatives to model addition and subtraction problems, and I watched a group who usually struggles actually light up when they could physically build the numbers. One memorable moment was when a student proudly said, \"Now I actually get it!\" These hands-on tools are helping students move from confusion to confidence.\r\n\r\nThe students were thrilled when they first saw all the math manipulatives! They immediately gravitated toward the colorful counters and place-value blocks, picking them up and exploring how they worked. Several students asked if they could take the materials to their desks right away. Their excitement showed me how eager they are to learn when they have tools that make math feel fun and interactive.","fullyFundedDate":1754932386503,"projectUrl":"project/mastering-math-2nd-grade-resources-for/9443231/","projectTitle":"Mastering Math: 2nd Grade Resources for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Boyd","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2155328_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752880480938","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2155328"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_64921","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":365,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":80,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":35,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":56,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":48.8,"schoolId":64921,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Seabrook Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Seabrook Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/maryland/prince-george-s-county-public-schools/seabrook-elementary-school/64921"}
