The Daily Math Practice, Word Problems, and Reading Comprehension books, and Scholastic Storyworks have been an absolute game-changer for my students, and their impact is visible every single day.\r\nI have witnessed a remarkable shift in my students' approach to reading. The high-interest, engaging passages in the reading materials have captured their attention in a way I hadn't seen before. Students who once struggled to stay focused are now fully engrossed in the texts. One of the most significant improvements has been in their ability to connect to the main idea and supporting details. The format of the resources provides such clear and consistent practice that this critical skill has finally solidified for them. In fact, a number of students have personally told me how these specific materials helped them finally understand the difference, which was a truly wonderful moment as a teacher.\r\nIn mathematics, the change has been just as profound. The daily practice and word problems have been invaluable for reinforcing the concepts we learn in class. Students are more focused and are building a much deeper understanding of the material.\r\nBecause the word problems are grounded in real-world scenarios, my students see math as a relevant and useful tool, not just a set of abstract rules. This has fostered an incredible classroom environment where students are now able to engage in concrete math conversations. They aren't just looking for the right answer; they are eagerly discussing strategies, defending their reasoning, and collaborating on solutions.\r\nYour support has provided more than just books; it has given my students the tools to become more confident, engaged, and capable learners. Thank you for investing in their education and for making such a tangible difference in our classroom.\r\nWith deepest thanks,","fullyFundedDate":1752671591298,"projectUrl":"project/readers-and-mathematicians-of-tomorrow/9256856/","projectTitle":"Readers and Mathematicians of Tomorrow","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Pittman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8847051"},{"teacherId":1191633,"projectId":9129927,"letterContent":"When we received the materials made possible by your donations, my students were absolutely overjoyed! As we took things out of the packaging they became more and more excited. While they had no idea exactly what we would be doing with the craft materials, they knew it would be fun. \r\n\r\nWe were able to use the Terra cotta pots to make turtles as we learned about living things in our ELA lessons. One of these turtles that we made even lives in our courtyard now as a reminder of what we learned and the fun we had learning it. \r\n\r\nMany other crafts can also be found around our school. We were able to make wind chimes, sun catchers, and magnets. All of these crafts helped us to learn English in a relaxed, low stress setting. Students were so excited to bring their creations home to share with their families. None of these wonderful learning experiences would have been possible without your kind and generous donations.
