The visuals of the graphic novel have brought a deeper understanding to them of this classic Shakespearean play.\r\n\r\nDuring reading in class, my students are quiet when reading all of the assigned pages, so much so that they will read beyond the pages assigned. I have had four students ask to bring the book home and finish it in one weekend. I have not had any student say that they didn't want to read.\r\n\r\nThe fidgets have aided students when they are reading, and when they complete their reading, they can take a break. I feel like my special education students have received the visuals they need to understand the text, as well as the context. Talking about our needs vs wants. We went into the budget concept of 50/30/20. Introduced the concept of pay yourself first. \r\n\r\nThey love the budget books, we showed them how to track their daily expenses and they will help guide them to creating a budget. After they spend the money to note if they thought it was a want or a need. They are ready to see what they are spending their money one. \r\n\r\nWe also gave examples of income/expenses for after high school. Going to full time work, part-time work and part-time college and full time college away from home.
