Instead of just seeing equations on paper, they are now able to bring their ideas into the physical world, designing, printing, and holding the very models they once only imagined. This hands-on approach is not only deepening their understanding of geometry, measurement, and scale, but it's also helping them make real-world connections between abstract math concepts and practical applications.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students has been the freedom to create. They light up when they see their designs come to life, whether it's a custom keychain, a geometric puzzle, or a scaled-down model of an everyday object. For many of them, especially those who sometimes struggle to stay motivated in math, this project has given them a sense of ownership and confidence. One student, who typically hesitates to participate, proudly shared his 3D-printed prototype with the class, an incredible breakthrough in both his learning and self-expression.\r\n\r\nThis project has given my students not only new skills but also the motivation to see themselves as problem-solvers, creators, and future innovators. Your support has truly brought math to life in our classroom, and we are so grateful for the opportunities you've made possible.","fullyFundedDate":1746785712596,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-math-to-life-through-3d-printin/9207852/","projectTitle":"Bringing Math to Life Through 3D Printing and Design","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Robles-Leon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8705399_orig.jpg?crop=1398,1398,x77,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1663552207435","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8705399"},{"teacherId":8705399,"projectId":9202754,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our classroom has been able to introduce fidgets as an important learning tool for students with disabilities. While many people may see fidgets as simple toys, in an educational setting they play a much deeper role. For students who struggle with attention or sensory regulation, fidgets provide a quiet and effective way to release energy, stay engaged, and remain present during lessons. By giving their hands something purposeful to do, students are able to focus their minds on reading, writing, and discussion with less frustration.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most about these fidgets is that they feel both fun and supportive at the same time. Rather than being pulled out of class or disciplined for restlessness, they now have a tool that helps them stay included and motivated to keep learning alongside their peers. We've seen students who once struggled to participate become more confident and eager, proud to show how the fidgets help them succeed. For some, it has been a breakthrough, allowing them to regulate emotions, complete assignments, and engage in class in ways they hadn't before.\r\n\r\nYour contribution is making learning not only possible, but joyful, for our students. These small tools are opening big doors, helping children with disabilities feel empowered, capable, and motivated to reach their full potential.","fullyFundedDate":1746786271388,"projectUrl":"project/3d-printed-fidgets-for-focus-and-engagem/9202754/","projectTitle":"3D-Printed Fidgets for Focus and Engagement","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Robles-Leon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8705399_orig.jpg?crop=1398,1398,x77,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1663552207435","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8705399"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_102149","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":76,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":67,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":79.5,"schoolId":102149,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about CNCA - Sandra Cisneros Campus on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"CNCA - Sandra Cisneros Campus","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/los-angeles-unified-school-district/sandra-cisneros-learning-academy/102149"}
