Many of my kindergarten students are learning foundational reading skills such as blending, segmenting, and decoding words, and having access to printed materials gives them consistent opportunities to practice these important skills in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is being able to read books and activities that match the exact phonics patterns we are learning in class. They feel proud and confident when they can successfully decode words on their own. My students especially enjoy using the phonics game and decodable passages during small groups and literacy centers.\r\n\r\nThe printed materials have been especially beneficial for students who need additional support in reading. Some of my struggling readers and English Learners have become more engaged and confident because the targeted resources allow them to practice at their instructional level. Students who were once hesitant to participate are now eager to read aloud, practice sounds, and apply new phonics skills independently. Seeing their confidence and growth in reading has been incredibly rewarding.","fullyFundedDate":1778131434321,"projectUrl":"project/printing-possibilities-ink-for-student/10232338/","projectTitle":"Printing Possibilities: Ink for Student Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Draghi","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8426474_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1650858629743","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8426474"},{"teacherId":3431681,"projectId":9902737,"letterContent":"Receiving this ink toner has made a meaningful difference in my first grade classroom.
