They wanted to unbox and use right away! However I had to remind them that we had to learn how to use them as tool and not toys! After some days of practice we use our tools all the time. The children love the flexibility in their learning seats. They love the ability to move their bodies and books to the carpet to help them see the board. They love the flexible seating option that lets them move around the room to read or work comfortably. We used the rug to help us fit organized and comfortably at the carpet space for read a louds. We used the new whiteboards for helping us with our math and spelling skills. We could not have done this without your generosity. The noise canceling headphones are a simple enough item but they are having a big affect in our classroom. This project has helped to spark a new excitement for reading and writing in our class. Students who normally lack the confidence to read aloud in class can now quietly sit alone and record their reading to share with me. This gives them the opportunity to practice their skills without fear of failure and embarrassment. Some of my most reluctant readers are finding success and building confidence with each new recording! The smiles that come with their newfound sense of accomplishment have been amazing.\r\n There are a number of students in our class who struggle to stay focused, they are distracted by even the smallest of sounds and movements around them. The headphones are a great tool to help these students maximize their productivity.
