They gathered around as we opened it, their eyes lighting up as they saw the colorful shapes and fun designs. What seemed like a small item quickly became a huge motivator in our classroom.\r\n\r\nWe use the erasers as tiny rewards during our TAG classes, reading groups, math stations, and writing workshops. Students earn them for showing kindness, effort, and perseverance. One special moment came during our reading focus groups—students who once hesitated to participate were suddenly eager to share answers and stay on task, just for the chance to earn one of these tiny treasures.\r\n\r\nThese erasers have done more than motivate—they've helped build confidence and a sense of community. Students cheer each other on, celebrate each other's successes, and proudly display their growing collections.\r\n\r\nNext, we're channeling this positive energy into our setting a goal project, where students set academic goals, and tracking their progress with their eraser rewards. It's inspiring to see how something so small can make such a big impact on their learning and joy for school.\r\n\r\nThank you for bringing such smiles and motivation to our classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1755456959077,"projectUrl":"project/motivation-in-miniature-erasers-that-m/9464803/","projectTitle":"\"Motivation in Miniature: Erasers That Make a Difference\"","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6004092_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1691621166725","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6004092"},{"teacherId":3033951,"projectId":7002048,"letterContent":"When my students first saw the boxes they were so excited. I explained to them that some kind people donated items for our classroom. Their were tons of questions. Many students did not like or enjoy writing at the beginning of the school year. These supplies helped to inspire my students to become better writers. Some students started off only being able to write a few sentences to accompany an illustrated picture to express their thoughts and ideas. As the year progress the sentences grew into paragraphs then into short stories. Students were excited to learn new words and meanings to increase their vocabulary. We adopted the class moto \"The more words I know, they easier it is to express myself clearly.\" Some of my shy students began to open up more about their thoughts and ideas. I was able to read what they were thinking and I was able to give more focused instruction to help them improve the reading and writing skills. Thank you so much for your gracious and kind donation. You have helped my students grow in reading and writing.","fullyFundedDate":1668483223578,"projectUrl":"project/leaving-our-mark-on-the-world-in-color/7002048/","projectTitle":"Leaving Our Mark On The World In Color!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Johnson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3033951_orig.jpg?crop=2448,2448,x0,y310&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1668262502580","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3033951"},{"teacherId":8838986,"projectId":7268523,"letterContent":"My students love utilizing the segmenting trays and letters to build cvc and nonsense words.
