The sensory tools and equipment you helped fund—like the sensory tent, vibrating pillow, chair bands, and fiber optic lights—are used daily to support students in self-regulation, focus, and transitions throughout the school day.\r\nWe've already seen students using the room to take sensory breaks that help them return to class more calm and focused. Once I got these books through the imposed Florida \"Book Ban,\" I could finally pass them out!\r\n\r\nI have been a fan of his work FOR YEARS! Nick Bruel found out about our PreK Project. Among other things, he even went so far as to send us several sets of \"Autograph\" stickers to put in each book!\r\n\r\nBad Kitty, among his other books, has been a class favorite for many years. The students always want me to read it. (I am very animated while reading Bad Kitty to my students.) They always grab one of my copies! For many years, at the end of the school year, I gave my copy to a student.\r\n\r\nLast year, I wanted a class copy of Bad Kitty for every student and submitted my project to DonorsChoose!\r\n\r\nThese books have their names in them and will be theirs to keep!\r\n\r\nI have been teaching for 30 years. Bad Kitty has been and is an essential book in my classroom.
