You have set up my students for success for the following year as I have accepted the roll of switching subjects and teaching Spanish reading next school year. We will be using them during our small group instruction time to target student needs. \r\n\r\nWhen my students saw our new materials they were so excited that we were able to have new tools in our room to better help us learn!! Students have begun to use the material sent especially in our small reading acceleration groups. Students are now able to have more fun and engaging activities to work on blending skills and are building fluency within their reading of words. Students have also begun to use calming tools. They are beginning to advocate for themselves when they know they need a break and have been able to choose the correct calming tool that best supports them. \r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the boxes and new material that was donated they immediately became excited and were ready to get to use them right away! They asked questions about what they were and how they were going to be able to use them. We also discussed why we thought we needed these new materials in our classroom making them aware that they were there to help their learning. \r\n\r\nCurrently, with our material I plan on building a classroom that is full of options for my students with a variety of ways to learn skills they need to read. Offering such a variety of ways will help me as a teacher meet all of their learning needs. My next goal/project will be to find options to build reading fluency in Spanish as we are a bilingual school and our Spanish reading is just as important as our English reading.","fullyFundedDate":1733271309806,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-for-success/8824804/","projectTitle":"Supplies For Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Almuina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9745386"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_107015","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":654,"numTeachers":42,"percentFrplEligible":64,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":96,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"15.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":91.7,"schoolId":107015,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Salida Del Sol Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Salida Del Sol Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/greeley-evans-weld-county-school-district-6/salida-del-sol-academy/107015"}
