Students in the classroom were ecstatic about the materials. Students were very excited to receive \"stuffy letters\" as they call them. Your generosity has provided materials that have aided in the development of literacy skills, resulting in higher assessment scores. \r\n\r\nStudents in our classroom use the Alphapals during whole group lessons and naptime. Before each student lays down they pick a letter to snuggle with. I ask the student what is the letter and what sound it makes. It is such a warm feeling to see students become excited about the letter they have chosen. Students use the alphabet dough stamps during playdough. Many students use stamps to create their name in playdough. \r\n\r\nNow that we are half way into the school year, we have learned over 90% of the alphabet. For the remainder of the year, we will continue learning the rest of the alphabet and also working towards mastering letter recognition and their sounds. There will be many activities/games using the Alphapals that will aid in the developemt of these skills. I am excited as we continue on the journey of cowboy learning.","fullyFundedDate":1729800540054,"projectUrl":"project/project-pre-k-cowboys/8627707/","projectTitle":"Project Pre-K Cowboys","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Harris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9647763_orig.jpg?crop=2005,2005,x443,y1118&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752597100717","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9647763"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_87481","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":429,"numTeachers":39,"percentFrplEligible":69,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":13,"percentWhite":20,"percentIndigenous":3,"percentLatinx":36,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":65.2,"schoolId":87481,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Roy Clark Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Roy Clark Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oklahoma/union-public-schools/roy-clark-elementary-school/87481"}
