After the book club, two teachers and one assistant principal asked to read the book, too! We made ornaments, drank hot chocolate, ate donuts and chocolate dipped Nutter Butter cookies (they looked like babies in swaddling clothes), and decorated gingerbread men and sugar cookies. All of this was in addition to discussing the book, laughing over the story, and sharing our thoughts about the characters. All students received treat bags with scented Christmas bookmarks, Christmas temporary tattoos, ornaments, and their leftover treats.\r\n\r\nThe most impressive part of our book club was that students chose to read the book on their own time, take the test on the book, and participate in the book club. I was so excited to have such a great group of students, and they are already asking when I will be having the next book club! \r\n\r\nThank you so much for supporting our book club and encouraging students to read for fun.
