These texts have brought fresh excitement and so many learning opportunities for my students. Thanks to your support, we have introduced important skills such as finding the main idea, identifying key details, analyzing character motivations, and making text-to-self connections. Many of our new books have sparked discussions around themes and author's craft, stretching students to think deeply and back up their ideas with evidence from what they read. These are skills that will help them not just in reading, but across all subjects.Reading time has become a highlight of our school day. Students gather in small groups to talk about mystery plots or giggle over favorite characters, and those who once hesitated to read are now eagerly reaching for the next book in a series. Our classroom is filled with discussion, laughter, and the shared joy of books.Several students who were reluctant readers at the start of the year have truly blossomed. One student who used to avoid reading now starts every day asking if we can read a few more chapters together, and another proudly recommends her favorite nonfiction title to anyone who will listen. Seeing their confidence and love of reading grow has been a joy.Thank you for believing in our classroom and for helping to build a community of readers. Your generosity has made a lasting difference in the lives of my students.","fullyFundedDate":1744259088623,"projectUrl":"project/for-the-love-of-books/9227106/","projectTitle":"For the Love of Books","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Thompson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5379292_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1564754257758","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ricki-thompson"},{"teacherId":5379292,"projectId":9288163,"letterContent":"The new LEGO sets have already had a big impact in our kindergarten classroom. They are being used daily for hands-on learning, helping students build creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while making lessons more engaging.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the LEGO kits, their eyes lit up and the room filled with excitement. Many shouted out ideas of what they wanted to build, and some immediately began collaborating with their classmates. One unforgettable moment came during our unit on community helpers—students worked together to design a \"LEGO town\" complete with fire stations, hospitals, and houses, proudly explaining how each structure would help their community.\r\n\r\nRight now, we are using the LEGO bricks to connect with math and literacy lessons. Students are practicing counting, sorting by size and color, and even building letters of the alphabet with the blocks. The next steps will be introducing simple STEM challenges, such as designing bridges or towers that can hold weight, which will give students tangible opportunities to test their ideas, collaborate, and learn through trial and error.","fullyFundedDate":1747145088557,"projectUrl":"project/help-us-lego-of-worksheets/9288163/","projectTitle":"Help Us \"LEGO\" of Worksheets","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Thompson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5379292_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1564754257758","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ricki-thompson"},{"teacherId":9700943,"projectId":8693903,"letterContent":"I'd like you to express my sincere appreciation for funding this project.
