The new cart is used every day, multiple hours a day. The work students use the cart for many different jobs around the school. The main jobs the student workers use the flatbed cart for are to deliver reams of printer papers to 20-25 different locations around the building or to pick up large amounts of papers to be shred in the work room. Again, they are going to all 4 floors of the building getting shredding from 17 different locations. Students also use the cart to move concession products from the loading dock area to the concession stand. \r\nThe students were very excited when they saw the new flatbed cart. The new cart as bigger and had a taller handle which they liked right away. Once the students started using the new cart they were so excited it was so much easier to use than the old one. The old one was bend in the middle and was difficult for the students to steer. \r\nYour donation has already made a huge impact on helping my students learn and improve new job skills. The nee doh cubes are so popular that many students have purchased some for their personal use at home. Others have inquired where we got the items, providing an opportunity to discuss the grant and relay to them the support that people whom they have never met care enough about their success that they willingly donated their own money to help support them. Many have commented over the last several weeks of how we have gotten some \"cool new stuff.\" Your donation has allowed us to have more quality items that we could not normally purchase due to cost. And it has also allowed us to gift fidgets to students who need to have something to fidget with throughout their day. \r\n\r\nYour donations were utilized in our counseling department. I have witnessed many students make use of the fidgets while taking a small break in our area to regroup and refocus so they can return to class feeling calmer and ready to learn. As you can imagine, items like these fidgets get a lot of wear and tear and need to be replenished often, which isn't always possible. However the quality of the items we were able to purchase with your donations will allow the kids to manipulate them as needed while still lasting for awhile.
