We have our own personal library with books of all levels to meet our students' needs. This takes a lot of time and funds to acquire all levels to meet those needs. \r\n\r\nMy students are so blessed to receive these books starting at beginning level to above grade level. These books will be used in small groups or one-on-one. One specific moment that stands out was when the new carpet and bean bags arrived. When my students first saw the carpet, their eyes lit up. They immediately gathered around it, eager to sit on it and use it for our reading circle. The soft, colorful carpet has created a cozy space where they can focus, collaborate, and really enjoy our group activities without feeling distracted by the hard floors or uncomfortable seating. It's made such a difference in creating a more inviting atmosphere in the classroom.\r\n\r\nThe bean bags have also had a huge impact. Students love using them during independent reading time. The relaxed seating arrangement encourages them to settle in and immerse themselves in their books. The new carpet and bean bags have definitely made our learning space feel more comfortable and inviting, and my students are responding positively to that.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, the next steps for my students involve using these new spaces and resources to enhance their learning. For instance, we are starting a project where they will work in groups to research a specific animal, and then present their findings in creative ways—some will create posters, others might even make short skits. The new seating options allow them to work more comfortably in groups, leading to more meaningful collaboration and better teamwork. With the new carpet and bean bags, I'm excited to see how these projects will unfold, and how my students' excitement for learning continues to grow.
