The sensory tools have become an important part of our daily classroom routine, giving students opportunities to regulate their emotions, improve concentration, and meet their individual learning needs.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my kindergarten students were excited to explore the different sensory tools. They were eager to try them and quickly learned how these resources could help them stay calm, focused, and successful during lessons. One memorable moment was watching a student who often struggled to remain seated and attentive use a sensory tool during a whole-group lesson and stay engaged throughout the activity. The confidence and success that followed were inspiring to see.\r\n\r\nWe continue to use these resources during independent work, small-group instruction, and transition times throughout the day. As we move forward, students are learning how to identify the tools that work best for them and use them independently to support self-regulation and learning. Several of my students benefit from movement to help with regulation, and these stools provide the perfect outlet for them. They think they're fun, and I've noticed a clear boost in engagement, focus, and participation during lessons and group work.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first walked in and saw the new seating, their faces lit up with excitement. They immediately began exploring the different options and sharing their favorites. It was so heartwarming to see how something as simple as flexible seating could bring so much joy and energy into the classroom.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, my students are continuing to use this flexible setup during a collaborative writing project. They're working in small groups, moving freely around the room to discuss ideas, draft their stories, and find their best thinking spaces.
