Because of you, our classroom has been transformed into a space buzzing with creativity, confidence, and excitement. Your kindness has made a lasting impact on my students, and we are deeply grateful.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the new materials, students have been able to explore artistic techniques that were previously out of reach. For many, this was the first time they felt they could truly express themselves without limitations. Watching them experiment freely—layering colors, testing tools, and encouraging one another—was a powerful reminder of how access to the right resources can unlock creativity.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies first arrived, the reaction was pure joy. Students crowded around the boxes, eyes wide, eagerly asking if they could start right away. Some carefully picked up materials they had only seen in videos or books, while others couldn't stop smiling as they realized they had real choices in how to create. That moment alone made your generosity unforgettable. Several students shared that they felt \"like real artists,\" a comment that speaks volumes about the confidence your support inspired.\r\n\r\nYour support has done more than purchase materials—it has shown students that their creativity matters and that there are people who believe in their potential. Thank you for investing in their artistic journeys and for helping make our art club a place where imagination thrives. Your generous donation of art supplies will open doors for our young artists to explore their imaginations, build confidence, and engage in meaningful self-expression. Many of our students have limited access to basic materials at home, so having vibrant paints, quality paper, brushes, and other tools in the classroom will make a world of difference. Because of your generous donations, my students have resources to create fun and engaging projects. The students are able to unleash their creativity without the constraints of limited resources. Many of the resources were used to create paper mache pumpkins. The students loved using the paint markers and the paint aprons were great to keep their uniforms nice and clean. Our next project is to create Picasso like sculptures using the Model Magic and materials from the art box. \r\nThese supplies will not only support our visual arts curriculum but also integrate into core subjects, helping students visualize math concepts, illustrate stories, and explore history through creative projects. Your support empowers our students to dream big and feel seen, valued, and inspired every day.\r\nThank you for investing in their creativity and future.","fullyFundedDate":1755715934380,"projectUrl":"project/after-school-artsy-afternoons/9584617/","projectTitle":"After-School Artsy Afternoons","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brown Tucker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10173782"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_29463","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":315,"numTeachers":19,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":70,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":25,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"16.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":63.5,"schoolId":29463,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Roosevelt Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Roosevelt Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/maywood-melrose-brdview-school-district-89/roosevelt-elementary-school/29463"}
