With the new markers, crayons, colored pencils, drawing pencils, regular pencils, paint brushes, and our rolling organizer, I've been able to create a more organized, engaging, and hands-on environment for my students. Having these materials readily available has made a huge difference in how smoothly our lessons run and how confidently students approach their artwork.\r\nThese resources have helped me strengthen my teaching by offering more choice and flexibility in projects. Students can now experiment with different mediums, build their skills, and express their creativity in ways that weren't always possible before. The rolling organizer has also made it easier for me to stay organized while traveling between classrooms, which means more time focused on teaching and less time managing supplies.\r\nOne of my favorite moments was watching a student who usually rushes through their work slow down and carefully use the new materials to add details and shading. When they finished, they proudly showed me their artwork and said, \"I really like this one.\" That moment of confidence and pride is exactly what your support has made possible.\r\nLooking ahead, I'm excited to continue growing as a teacher by creating more student-centered, choice-based lessons and integrating art into other subjects like reading and social studies. I'm especially looking forward to projects where students can tell their own stories through different art materials.\r\nThank you for investing in my students and giving them the tools to create, explore, and succeed. Your support truly makes a difference every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1767623654970,"projectUrl":"project/art-room/9830737/","projectTitle":"Art Room","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sandoval","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10074399"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_29455","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":306,"numTeachers":31,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":18,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":76,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"9.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":58.7,"schoolId":29455,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Roosevelt Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Roosevelt Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/chicago-heights-elementary-school-district-170/roosevelt-elementary-school/29455"}
